Portrait of Nikoline Porse

Oh hey, you're here! I'm Nikoline (pronounced ni-ko-LEEN-uh). And no, it's not Italian. It's Danish — although during a trip to Croatia in 2018, I learned it's a Croatian name too. Now that we've covered the basics, here's a little more about me.

I was born and raised in Southern California, where growing up near the ocean quietly became part of my identity. I tried very hard to be a sports girl before accepting that coordination was not exactly my calling. So I tried everything else: Irish dancing, my local YMCA Youth & Government program and anything that helped me find my voice. That curiosity (and willingness to jump in before I know exactly how it will go) has followed me into pretty much every part of my career.

I graduated from the University of Oregon in 2022 with a degree in Public Relations and minors in Philosophy and Sociology. PR taught me how to shape a story; philosophy and sociology taught me to ask better questions about people, culture and the world around me. After graduation, I gave myself four months for sunshine, surf trips and time with family and friends before taking my first corporate job at Vanguard Logistics. Shipping logistics was definitely not on my bingo card, but I have never been afraid of an unexpected opportunity. Eight months later, I packed five suitcases of clothes (and maybe two coffee mugs) and moved across the country to New York City.

New York started on the sales floor at Aviator Nation, where I became a top seller by treating every customer interaction like a relationship, not a transaction. At the same time, I was balancing a short-lived fling as a personal assistant while also interning at CLD PR. That internship became my crash course in agency life: hunting down the right media contacts with MuckRack, drafting pitches, coordinating celebrity seeding and helping bring events to life. I worked on Celsius's Cosmic Desert Party at Coachella and several NYFW gifting suites, managing the details behind the scenes so the experience felt effortless.

Then came Assouline, where luxury publishing, client relations and unforgettable events all met in one very chic place. As a Client Advisor, I manage high-net-worth and celebrity relationships through Endear while partnering with the PR and events teams on launches and signings. I've helped bring limited-edition publication launches, celebrity signings and memorable cultural events to life. Yes, the guest lists were as good as they sound.

At Stacy McLaughlin Communications, I went from Account Coordinator to Social Media Manager, turning strong stories into real visibility. I've helped land client placements in Financial Times, Interior Design Magazine and The Art Newspaper, written press materials, supported shoots and events and built content that gives those wins a longer life online. Today I produce content for the SMC PR Instagram, offer social media guidance to clients and occasionally step behind the camera for them.

The thread through all of it? I know how to find the story, make people care and keep the moving pieces moving. I can pitch a journalist, work a luxury sales floor, build a content plan, wrangle a gifting suite and still make a client feel like the only person in the room. That range is kind of my thing.

Off the clock, I'm usually traveling, hunting down the best new restaurant in the city, taking a hot yoga class or working on my Danish. I'm also passionate about sustainable shopping and vintage clothes, because the best pieces usually already have a story.
