Overview: My Crisis Communications class enrolled me in the Crisis Ready Institute. According to its website, the Crisis Ready Institute, “creates resilient leaders, strengthens organizational cultures, builds sustainable businesses that can withstand the test of time, fosters trust, both internally and externally, and protects brand equity.” Many of the lessons emphasized the psychological aspects of how people react to crises. I was able to understand how to proceed in a crisis with grace, humility and compassion.
